Michael DeChiara has worked in the non-profit sector since 1985. In most of this work he has bridged policy making and management with community implementation. He has been involved in national, statewide and local organizations. Throughout his career he has been involved with organizations focused on the environment, health care, homelessness, education and civic engagement.
Michael has extensive management and organizational experience and is seen as an innovative and thoughtful leader. Michael has a dual Masters Degree from Tufts University’s from the Dept of Political Science (Public Policy and Citizen Participation Program) and the Urban & Environmental Policy Program (Non-Profit Management focus). He has a Bachelors Degree in Government from Cornell University.
Among Michael’s strengths is his ability to think strategically, to facilitate collaborative undertakings and to understand organizations.
